This was after the first hailstorm today - the village of Ravensden from Cleat hill - a valley that may be irrevocably changed if East-West Rail cuts through it. Only two others and their dog passed by. This was the second of three paintings completed outdoors from the side of a field. It's in acrylic 16" x 12". It took me two hours. I'm practising for a 4-hour 'plein air' landscape competition. First I sketched a watercolour in 30 minutes, then this, and then another 24" x 16" acrylic in 2.5 hours. |
