Boy on the train, playing on his phone. It's been a busy week so I haven't had time to paint as much as I would have liked. But today I went to the Cezanne exhibition with my friend, Gary. On the way back, I sketched this young chap with his smart haircut. Actually, what he was doing was taking photos of his little sister and then, with the aid of an app, distorting the image to make her look grotesque - and then gleefully showing her. Perhaps that explains the expression on his face. His sister was not best pleased. I felt sorry for their mother as the two children scrabbled over and under seats and swung on the railings before finally settling down. The result of a tiring day. |
