Magnolia in Kingsley Road with a Spring showers approaching.
This is one of a number of mature magnolia trees planted in gardens of Edwardian and Victorian houses near the river. At this time of year their almost unfeasibly large pink and purple flowers illuminate the streets, along with cherry and pear blossom on trees planted on the verges. The first thorn blossom is already falling.
