Here are two mounted watercolours ready for the 'River' exhibition.
One is the drought-stricken rapids of the Wye at Symonds Yat. The other is a narrow boat ('Drawn to Water') moored at Priory Marina. |
And this is today's unfinished acrylic - Bedford town bridge reflected in the River Great Ouse. The water lilies are gold and the stone-work glows pink in the sun. The balustrade is shattered by ripples and you can just see a wonky upside-down street lamp. I prefer things upside down: the dream-bridge wobbles and water lilies pass like coins under its arch, becoming clouds in a night sky. |
