Old Ford End Road opposite Queen's Park. I liked the way the road snaked into town with the view of the Gurdwara in the distance. I also liked the puddle at the mouth of the driveway, and the birds on the wire. The rain eased off sufficiently for me to sit and sketch. A very polite mum and her children came to see what I was up to, and even took a photo. I am delighted to say that my 'construction series' will be a fund-raiser after all. I met today with AF Blakemore, the new owners of the warehouse. They liked my sketches and are keen to work with local homeless charities. In fact, they're even willing for me to sketch in the newly occupied building. There are superb views from the top! |
