Stormy skies over the sunlit allotment today. Here's my old shack with a water butt. The shadow of the shed I'm sketching from is just visible on the damson saplings to the left. The hazel bush (half-way to the shack) has now lost its catkins and is about to come into leaf. Potatoes will go into the prepared bed on the right. There are also beans, garlic, onions, parsnip, radish - and even wheat. Tim Spector and John Campbell discuss how life is more various and interdependent than was previously thought. www.youtube.com/watch?v=etWK47NpCL8 |
