The car park of the breast-screening centre of Luton hospital is not a pretty or a happy place, especially not in the rain. Leafless branches peep over the unit, sad shrubs huddle against the wall, rain drops cling to the windows and the skies are grey.
But much good, valuable work goes on there. I had a nice chat with a perfect stranger about the meanness of parking charges, and the importance of being kind, and not being afraid of each other.
Also, I have had three expressions of interest in my snowdrop watercolour.
So I hope, soon, to be able to donate to the King's Arms Project again.
