Then, today, I spoke to Anthony Mackay who shared his idea of multiple sketches. So I looked at the patterns of houses in town.
Finally, this afternoon I climbed Cleat hill and sketched the view to the water tower on the top of Sunderland hill to the north of Bedford - there was the barbed wire to my left, the water tower and cut hedge in front of me, and the road snaking down hill towards Kimbolton.
