This is the second acrylic sketch of the water tower beneath a hail-scoured sky. Today was spent adapting my easel for out of doors painting - adding a folding shelf and bungee arrangements to prevent canvases flying off in the wind, and netting devices to weight the tripod down. I seem to have striped this canvas in blue and green and red. With acrylic, unlike watercolour, it seems easier to lighten areas than darken them. Some drawing possibilities suggest themselves. |
