This is a bird's eye view of the mouth of the River Great Ouse, where it flows into the Wash. We're above Ongar hill, just north of King's Lynn. It's 75 miles downstream from (and 112 feet lower than) Bedford. I thought I'd add some gulls - maybe some low cloud - but I couldn't quite finish. I was intrigued by the little streams which drain the spongy wetlands of the estuary. My forthcoming exhibition celebrates the river. |
