Here's the site at knocking off time: on the left a man prepares to leave in his van; on the right the sign warns - 'men at work'. Behind the red plastic barriers are two men in hi-vis gear discussing the nearly completed building.
I was struck by the eloquence of the sign - although, in fact, no one is trying to open a parasol or dump a Christmas tree. Men are still hard at work.
I spoke with the McLaren managers today. It seems that the exterior may be finished in a fortnight, though internal work of one kind or another may continue a bit longer. Blackstone, the company who have commissioned the warehouse, will decide on the opening launch date and arrangements. Then we'll be able to choose which pictures to exhibit for sale. My target is to raise another £1K for the King's Arms Project.
