Sunlight striking the white walls of Rosamund Road, 5-6 pm at the intersection with Philpotts Avenue - on the way back from the allotment - 'goblet-shaped' plum tree on the left: 60 mins - ink and watercolour.
It could be any road where the sky is blue over the red roofs and the greenery rises above red brick and whitewash. It's a very English suburban perspective from the mid 20th century. I am remembering Spencer Gore and his essays in colour of Lethcworth Garden City in the inter-war years.
It'll be bright for the next few days, so I hope to do more - working my way around the streets.
