I found these sixteen 'faces' on our kitchen table. In the mottled, speckly surface, it is possible to make out recognisable shapes. It's a psychological phenomenon called pareidolia. I tore a scrap of paper to make a 'frame'. I used this frame to 'find' the faces. Leonardo da Vinci advised it. “Look at walls splashed with a number of stains, or stones of various mixed colours.
