These are the hazel catkins. Late afternoon sun in February. On the allotments. There's a storm coming. A breeze blows the catkins at an angle. In the background, you can see the houses on Wendover Drive. In the foreground is a low fence and some hoops to support the cabbage netting. This was painted on an A2 cotton canvas primed with silver. The catkins are painted with iridescent metallic gold paint mixed with ochre, white and cadmium yellow acrylic.
